Auditions
The Winston-Salem Symphony announces auditions for the following vacant positions for the 2010-2011 season. Repertoire and further information will be given upon receipt of each applicant's cover letter and resume. Services will commence in mid-late September 2010 or at each winning candidate's earliest availability.

Auxiliary Second Bassoon

This position performs Second Bassoon when the orchestration calls for Contrabassoon, and will be the first-call substitute for other services. There is no Contrabassoon performing requirement for this position.
Section per-service rate for 2010-2011 is $75.00 (minimum); approximately 35 services will be offered for this position.

Section per-service rate for 2010-2011 is $75.00 (minimum). A minimum of 40 services, and a maximum of approximately 90 services, will be offered for these vacant positions dependent upon prior internal audition of current members for "A" contract status (per Master Agreement).
