The Encore Society

The Encore Society is the volunteer arm of the Winston-Salem Symphony. This diverse group was established in 2001 and has over 100 active members who work on a variety of projects.

Encore Society members support the Symphony by volunteering with:

• Special Events – Galas, Benefits, Fundraisers
• Educational Programs
• Subscription Drive
• Pre- and Post-Concert Events
• Guest Artist Hospitality
• Philly Feed (Rehearsal snack break for musicians)
• Encore Society members also have fun!
• Monthly Encore meetings and morning socials
• Exclusive Encore receptions for visiting artists
• Road Trips to see other performing arts events
• Recognition at Symphony performances

Mission Statement

The purpose and mission of Encore shall be to support and promote growth of the Winston-Salem Symphony Association; and to operate as a volunteer group to assist with Symphony fundraising, education, and leadership activities; and to provide the Encore membership with educational and social opportunities.
