Health and Safety

Thanks to improving regional COVID-19 trends, current expert guidance, and regional best practices, the Winston-Salem Symphony is updating its COVID-19 safety protocols as follows for all constituents:

  • Masks: Consistent with CDC and local guidance, masks are no longer required at Symphony events (including rehearsals); continued use of masks is discretionary; the Symphony will continue to provide masks and other PPE at its events for those requesting them.
  • Proof of vaccination or negative COVID tests: The Symphony no longer requires proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to participate in its events.
  • However: if you aren’t feeling well, please stay home. You may donate your tickets back to the Symphony for a tax deduction. Additionally, several concerts this year will be available online within a couple of weeks of their live performances, so you won’t miss a beat.

We are grateful to our community and our constituents for so patiently supporting these safety protocols when recommended or mandated. We maintain our commitment to doing all that we can to protect your health and safety as the pandemic subsides.

Important note: It is possible that COVID-19 protocols will require updating in the future as the pandemic evolves, along with the safety protocols requirements of our venues (which we must adhere to). Please continue to monitor wssymphony.org/safety for the latest updates.
