Locations and Parking

 

 

The Winston-Salem Symphony regularly performs at several different venues throughout the city.

Below is a list of our venues and a Google Map displaying each location. Click on "View Larger

Map/Enhanced Directions" to see a broader view and for access to Google's useful Send feature,

Directions to The Stevens Center:

The Stevens Center is located on the corner of Fourth Street and Marshall Street.

 

Traveling West on I-40:
From I-40 take Business 40 (exit 206) toward Kernersville and continue into downtown Winston-Salem. Take the Cherry Street exit and then a left onto Fourth Street. The Stevens Center is one block up on the right.

Traveling East on I-40:
Take Business 40 (exit 188) to downtown Winston-Salem. Take the Cherry Street exit. From Cherry Street (one-way) take a left onto Fourth Street. The Stevens Center is one block up on the right.

Traveling North or South on Highway 52:
Take Business 40 west to the Cherry Street exit. From Cherry Street (one-way) take a left onto Fourth Street. The Stevens Center is one block up on the right.

Traveling From High Point:
Take Highway 311 to Highway 52 North. From Highway 52 North take Business 40 West to the Cherry Street exit. From Cherry Street (one-way) take a left onto Fourth Street. The Stevens Center is one block up on the right.

 

Stevens Center Parking:
There is plenty of parking in downtown Winston-Salem.
Choose from free street parking or various paid parking decks, the closest of
which are the Cherry-Marshall Deck, the Sixth-Cherry, and City West decks.

Directions to R.J. Reynolds Auditorium:

R.J. Reynolds Auditorium is located at 301 North Hawthorne Road on the campus of R.J. Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem, NC.

Take Business I-40 into Winston-Salem and take the Cloverdale Avenue exit. At the end of ramp turn left and cross First Street. Turn left at the stop sign onto Hawthorne Road. Cross through two stoplights, go under a railroad trestle & bear right, staying on Hawthorne. Follow Hawthorne to theatre entrance on your right between two brick pillars.

 

Reynolds Auditorium Parking:
Free parking is available in all on-campus lots and on neighborhood streets.

Directions to K.R. Williams Auditorium, WSSU

 

K.R. Williams Auditorium is located at the corner of Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and Cromartie Street on the campus of
Winston-Salem State University.

From North- or Southbound HWY 52:

Exit at Stadium Drive/WSSU Exit. Both exits require you to turn left onto Stadium Drive. Get in the "right" left turn lane. Turn left onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. Make sure you are in the right lane. At the signal light, turn right onto Cromartie Street.

 

From Westbound Business 40:

Take the Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive exit. At the stop sign, turn left and go to the light. Make a left onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. Cross Bus. 40 and continue to the next signal light, turn left onto Cromartie Street.

 

From Eastbound Business 40:

Take the Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive exit. Follow the exit through to Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. At the signal light, turn left and continue to the next signal light, turn left onto Cromartie Street.

 

Williams Auditorium Parking:
Parking is free for WS Symphony events. There are two on-campus parking lots
adjacent to and behind the Auditorium, as well as another large lot on Cromartie
Street, on the opposite side of Martin Luther King, Jr Drive.

Directions to Centenary UMC

From Business 40:
Use the Broad Street exit and turn right (north). At the fourth traffic light, turn right on Fifth Street. Proceed through the intersection at Spring Street. The church is on the right, just past the public library.

Alternately, from Business 40 West: Use Cherry Street exit and go north. At the fifth traffic light, turn left on Fifth Street. The church is on the left three blocks from Cherry Street and just before the public library.

Alternately, from Business 40 East: Use Cherry Street exit. Turn left at the end of the exit ramp, proceed through the light on Marshall Street, and turn left (north) onto Cherry Street. At the fifth traffic light, turn left on Fifth Street. The church is on the left three blocks from Cherry Street and just before the public library.

From I-40 East or West:
Use US Highway 52 North. Take the Business 40 West exit and follow Business 40 directions above to the church.

From US Hightway 52:
Use the Third/Fourth/Fifth Street exit and go west on Fifth Street. The church is on the left,12 blocks from US Highway 52 and just before the public library.

 

Centenary Parking:
Free parking is available to WS Symphony patrons in two lots, adjacent to and across
from the church on Fifth Street. Street parking is also available.

Directions to Ardmore Baptist Church

 

From Business 40 East or West:
Take the Cloverdale Rd. exit, and turn right at the end of the ramp; Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital will be ahead and on your left. Follow Cloverdale Rd to Miller Street and turn left. The church is located at 501 Miller Street.

From I-40 East or West:
Use US Highway 52 North. Take the Business 40 West exit and follow Business 40 directions above to the church.

From US Hightway 52:

Take the Business 40 West exit and follow Business 40 directions above to the church.

Ardmore Parking:
Free parking is available to WS Symphony patrons in three lots surrounding the church,
on Irving and Rosewood Streets and Elizabeth Avenue. Street parking is also available.
