Join the Winston-Salem Symphony for a Night at the Oscars!

Plugged-In Pops Series to feature great movie music

 

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (JANUARY 9, 2013) – Get ready for a night of powerful and beautiful music sure to take you on an emotional ride when the Symphony presents, “A Night at the Oscars.” Part of the Symphony’s Plugged-In Pops Series, the concert will feature music from Oscar-winning movies.

The concert will take place on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Reynolds Auditorium, 301 N. Hawthorne Road in Winston-Salem. Tickets range from $15– $62 and are available in advance by calling the Symphony Box Office at 336-464-0145 or online.

Under the baton of Matthew Troy, Associate Conductor, the program will include Lord of the Rings: Symphonic Suite from Fellowship of the Ring, Aladdin Orchestral Suite, Main title from Batman, Main Title from Braveheart, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, Raiders March, Highlights from Jurassic Park, Theme from Schindler’s List, Music from Up and more.
