Winston-Salem Symphony Announces 2015-2016 Season


WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (January 26, 2015) – The Winston-Salem Symphony, Robert Moody, Music Director, announced its 2015-2016 season yesterday. The upcoming season includes a memorable selection of Classics concerts, Plugged-In Pops concerts, and Discovery Concerts for Kids.

Existing subscribers can renew their subscriptions as soon as renewal packages arrive in the mail, which should be around January 28. Those interested in becoming new subscribers will be able to do so beginning March 23. Subscriptions can be purchased by calling the Symphony Box Office at 336-464-0145 or online at WSsymphony.org. Tickets to individual concerts will go on sale in the early summer.

“For my 11th season as Music Director, I couldn’t be more thrilled with the programming,” said Maestro Robert Moody. “We continue to be adventurous, encompassing of a ‘thread-of-connection’ between works, and fully dedicated to creating the most exciting live-music experiences. This will be a phenomenal season, and I can’t wait for the concerts!”

Classics & Kicked-Back Classics* Series

*Kicked-Back Classics concerts are full-length but with a more informal atmosphere and include educational insights from the conductor. After each Kicked-Back concert, patrons can join the Maestro, guest artists, and members of the orchestra for Brews with Bob at a convenient downtown location.
