The Encore Society

 

The volunteer arm of the Winston-Salem Symphony is the Encore Society. This diverse group was established in 2001 and has over 100 active members who work on a variety of projects.

Encore Society members support the Symphony by volunteering with:

 

• Special Events - Galas, Benefits, Fundraisers
• Educational Programs
• Subscription Drive
• Pre- and Post-Concert Events
• Guest Artist Hospitality
• Philly Feed (Rehearsal snack break for musicians)
• Encore Society members also have fun!
• Monthly Encore meetings and morning socials
• Exclusive Encore receptions for visiting artists
• Road Trips to see other performing arts events
• Recognition at Symphony performances

 

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Winston-Salem Symphony Encore Society is to support and promote the growth of the Winston-Salem Symphony; to operate as a department of the Symphony in order to make gifts to the Symphony, which are used for charitable and educational purposes, and to provide the membership with educational and social opportunities.
