The Winston-Salem Symphony Presents Pops Concert: A Night at Woodstock

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (APRIL 4, 2019) – The Winston-Salem Symphony, joined by the Jeans ‘n Classics Band, is presenting a concert celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 7:30 p.m.

Under the baton of Jessica Morel, Assistant Conductor of the Winston-Salem Symphony, this concert will highlight the music of this iconic moment in rock history. Experience an unforgettable evening featuring hits from the rock legends who performed at Woodstock including “All Along the Watchtower,” by Jimi Hendrix; “With a Little Help from My Friends,” by Joe Cocker; “Somebody to Love,” by Jefferson Airplane; “Black Magic Woman,” by Santana; “Piece of My Heart,” by Janis Joplin; “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,” by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young; “Hot Fun in the Summertime,” by Sly and the Family Stone; and more.

About the Winston-Salem Symphony

The Winston-Salem Symphony, one of the Southeast’s most highly regarded regional orchestras, began its 72nd season in October 2018. The season will include performances featuring the five finalists for the Music Director position.
