Casie Hammons Joins the Winston-Salem Symphony as Development Manager

 

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (JULY 26, 2013) – The Winston-Salem Symphony has hired Casie Hammons as Development Manager. Hammons will report to Winston-Salem Symphony Vice President & Chief Development Officer, Sheila Virgil, and will join the Symphony beginning August 5, 2013.

In her role as Development Manager, Hammons will work closely with Virgil to achieve contributed revenue goals for the Symphony through annual fund and sponsorship efforts, grant writing and managing donor events.

Prior to joining the Symphony, Hammons worked for Experiment in Self-Reliance, and had a multi-year career with Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC. She is a native of Winston-Salem and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Marketing, as well as High Point University with a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management.

Hammons is an active community volunteer, and serves on many committees related to the issues of our community. She is an active Young Leaders United member with United Way of Forsyth County as well as the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Triad Chapter (AFP). She also has been volunteering with Senior Services for many years. In addition, Hammons is a member of the Forsyth Technical Community College – Business Administration/Nonprofit Management Advisory board. She is also a graduate of Leadership Winston-Salem’s class of 2013.
