Why should you support the Winston-Salem Symphony?
When you support the Symphony, you bring music to life! Your thoughtful contribution enables the Symphony to connect with our community, inspire new audiences, and transform lives—and there are several easy ways to give.
Here’s how your gift helps:

$250
Allows for a local Title I elementary school student to receive music education by way of our P.L.A.Y. Music program.

$500
Provides schoolbus transportation for a class of fourth- and fifth-grade students to an educational concert.

$1,000
Funds eight musician visits to Senior Services’ memory-care day center to share stories and music.

$2,500
Provides for the purchase of choral scores for our incomparable, all-volunteer Symphony Chorus.

$5,000
Funds one weekend-afternoon Family Concert, including production and fun learning activities in the lobby.

Donor-Advised Funds
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a named charitable giving account set up by you under a public charity, most often a sponsoring financial or community institution. The Symphony does accept Donor Advised Fund (DAF) contributions; however, donating through a DAF may limit the donor benefits that you can receive. Because a maximum tax deduction is received when funds are contributed to a DAF, a donor cannot legally receive any benefits with a substantial fair market value for a gift made from a DAF. The Winston-Salem Symphony will provide any relevant benefits in your appropriate giving circle that have insubstantial or no fair market value.
