(October 24, 2013) – As part of its Classics Series, the Winston-Salem Symphony, Robert Moody, Music Director, is presenting a concert series featuring Siegfried Idyll, by Richard Wagner; Concerto for Piano No. 19 in F Major, k. 459, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; and Symphony No. 4 in B-flat Major, op. 60, by Ludwig van Beethoven.

Winston-Salem Symphony Names 2012-2013 Peter Perret Youth Talent Search Winners

The Winston-Salem Symphony has announced the winners of the 2012-2013 Peter Perret Youth Talent Search competition. The winner of the junior division, for students ages eight to 12, is pianist Kevin Xu, age 10, of Cary. The first place winner of the senior division for ages 13 through senior year of high school is Chambers Thomas Loomis, a pianist from Asheville.
